X-pro1 and Pentax FA 43mm f1.9 Limited

When I left Pentax for Fujifilm I had planned to get all three of the original Fujinon lenses (18-35-60), but reading about how slow the 60mm was to focus I decided to keep my trusty Pentax FA 43mm f1.8 Limited and try it as my portrait lens. It might be on the short end for portraits, but I really like how it renders on every aspect of what a good lens are supposed to do.

Compared to the Fujinon’s it has slightly more color and contrast which actually is closer to what I prefer. This shot is straight from the camera with no editing or sharpening at all. And the build quality of a metal Pentax Limited series is clearly above that of the Fujinon lenses I have (18 & 35mm) so I plan to keep this one until it falls apart. Which it will never do :)
