As a street photographer, Henri Cartier-Bresson is the man. He practically invented Street photography – at least defined it – by him self. I tried to honor him by shooting some street shots on his birthday, the 22th of august, but it was hard. It´s not by accident HCB is held so high among us street photographers.
On the other hand, I´ve always imagined him as a pioneer, which would mean that he would never copy someone else’s photographic style. And so – I just put up some of my own images from to night. Not really worthy of Bresson, but maybe in his spirit. I think he would not mind.
it’s beautiful!!
I would love tovisit Stockholm one day!
Thanks you!
You should try to visit stockholm – from what I have heard, everyone loves it (I sure do :)
And let me know if you need a guided tour when you get here. I know the streets pretty well, you know :)
What do you think of the culture and the people?
Did you move to Sweden?

and thanks for the offer:)
Ehm… I´m native – have lived her all my life :) Swedes are great, but maybe a tad low key in public. And the key word is “consensus”! No conflicts if you can avoid it! :)
Thanks for your opinion!
I think you got great results. I started before 7 a.m. yesterday, but just could not get into that grove. Eventually I got something more akin to a street portrait. But I agree with you in principle, there are many who will (inadequately) try to copy HCB, the correct approach I think is exactly the one you adopted.
Kul att se ett känt namn från Fotosidan/GF, som nappat på min idé. Riktiga gatufotobilder dessutom.
