I had a couple of hours left today before I had to give the Fuji back. Ran out, turned most of the automation off and tried to take control of the image making. I think I got it right today – better than yesterday at least. And the manual focusing is really not a problem, it works as fast as I need it to. All of these images are jpg’s straight out of the camera with a minimum of tampering. Looks pretty nice to me. Of course I will start learning how to handle the Fuji’s raw-files later on, but for now this is more than sufficient.
Anyhow. As I´m moving fast forward right now, I returned the loaner to my friend Jon (who´s camera shop I lent it from) and bought a brand new X-Pro 1 with the 18 mm lens. That wide-angle will be right up my alley. Right now, I´m waiting for the batteries to be loaded so I can take the 21mm for a spin.
Wish me luck :)
I am a good poser :( Good choice I think swapping system :)
Of course you are, Ola. (Never blame the model ;)
The images look stunning! Looking forward to seeing more.
Yes, I’m very pleased with the output form this camera. I will do some prints this weekend to see how well the native jpgs holds together – maybe it is time to re-evaluate the need to always post edit the raw files?
